I lived in Oklahoma until I graduated veterinary school in 1991. I then moved to Wheatland, Wyoming with my wife, Melissa, who is also from Oklahoma. I have practiced veterinary medicine in Wheatland with Laramie Peak Veterinary Associates from the time I moved to Wyoming in ‘91. Melissa and I were married in 1989 and we have two children, Lance and Audrey. We have one beautiful daughter-in-law, Paige, and two amazing grandkids, Maximilian James and Josie Rose. I was Baptized in the Presbyterian Church but spent most of my time as a member of the Methodist Church. However, in 2003, moved by an overwhelming desire for the Eucharist, I came into the Catholic Church and became a full member of Christ’s body. I was Ordained a Deacon of the Church in the Fall of 2021.
My primary area of ministry has been evangelization. I have focused on adult education for faith formation by offering various adult classes through out the year. I also attempt to minister to the greater Wheatland and Platte county community through my work at the veterinary clinic and by joining with other Christian Churches in our community to serve the needs of the residents of Platte county.
The Greek word “diakonia”, which is where we get the word Deacon, refers to “service” or “servant”. I approach my role as “servant” with great respect and great responsibility. I hope to serve all of God’s people with humility and love!
