I am Fr. Hiep Nguyen. I am from Vietnam originally. I came to Wyoming in the Summer of 2008 as a seminarian. After studying English and Philosophy at Conception Seminary College in Missouri for 3 years and studying Theology at St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana for 4 years, I was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cheyenne on May 22, 2015. After my ordination, I was assigned as the associate pastor at St. Margaret’s in Riverton for 3 years. Then, I was assigned as associate pastor at St. Patrick’s in Casper and Corpus Christi in Newcastle for a year. After that, I was assigned as associate vocation director and lived at St. Paul’s Newman Center in Laramie for 2 years. In these two years, I also served as the chaplain for the Vietnamese community at St. Patrick’s in Casper. After serving all these area's of Wyoming, I was assigned to St. Patrick’s in Wheatland on April 7, 2021 as associate pastor then became pastor for the first time on July 1, 2021. I am so grateful to be pastor at St. Patrick’s in Wheatland and Mary Queen of Heaven in Chugwater. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve you and your families in fulfilling my call "to serve, not to be served.” If you are visitors, I would love to see you and welcome you. May God bless you always and Be assured of my prayer!
